FAQ
DTK Stone Works
Where can I use marble in my home design?
Marble is highly susceptible to staining and damage from the acidic substances we all have in the kitchen. DTK Stone Works does not recommend the use of marble in the kitchen. We prefer using marble in bathroom designs, which makes even the smallest bathrooms look more extensive and luxurious, thanks to its gleaming surface.
Marble design options from DTK Stone Works
Marble is a very porous material, and in order to avoid stains, it is vital to seal it yearly. Cleaning marble is best achieved by using warm water and a soft rag. Spills should be wiped immediately to prevent discolorations of the stone, and hot pots and heated styling tools should not be placed directly on the stone's surface without a protected pad. Marble is tough, so deep scratches, chips, and cracks are rarely an issue. With a properly applied sealant and safe cleaning routine, your marble countertops will gleam for years.
