Our Story

DTK Stone Works

First Shop 2004

The story of DTK Stone Works starts in 2004 when the owner Dimitre, opened up his first 1,500 sq. ft. fabrication facility and showroom. To get to this point and pursue his dream, Dimitre has worked very hard. He truly embraces and embodies the American Dream. Before entering the world of stone works and honing his skills and expertise, Dimitre left his native Bulgaria as a teenager to come to the United States. He gained extensive residential and commercial construction knowledge and built a reputation in precision, quality, and service.

Rapid Growth 2008

Since 2008 DTK has been experiencing a sizable increase in sales because Dimitre brought his wife Tzvetelina into the office to market the company and handle the organizational elements of running a fast-paced business. Together they have made DTK Stone Works a familiar name in the Chicagoland area.

New Showroom 2022

2022 will mark another milestone for the company's growth, a staggering 20,000 sq. ft. facility expansion. This expansion will accommodate new machinery to extend fabrication, a larger warehouse to accommodate more material, and a new showroom/collaborative space to serve as a workplace for industry professionals. The collaborative space will be the social and working hub where people can gather, exchange ideas, and design unique projects while enjoying a cup of coffee or tea and being surrounded by mesmerizing pieces of stone.
